Mapon is seeking a talented and experienced UX Researcher to join our product team and play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of our fleet management and asset-tracking solutions. As a UX Researcher, you will lead our UX research efforts and work within our Product Design team, as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs, identify opportunities for improvement, and inform the design of user-centric solutions. Reporting directly to the Design Lead, you will be an integral part of the design process, ensuring that our products not only meet but exceed user expectations.

We're seeking candidates who possess a strong passion for UX research and a proven track record of delivering impactful insights that drive product innovation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience conducting UX research in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on digital products or software solutions. Strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset are essential for success in this role.

As a UX Researcher, your primary focus areas will include:

  • Take an impact-focused approach to planning, conducting, and communicating research studies aimed at understanding user behavior, needs, use cases, and workflows, and identifying opportunities.
  • Conducting qualitative and quantitative research methods, including but not limited to interviews, surveys, usability testing, and analytics analysis, to gather meaningful insights.
  • Support the product team by conducting research on user goals, needs, and mental models, and usability testing solution ideas to ensure our fleet management solutions meet user requirements.
  • Championing a user-centered design approach and advocating for the importance of UX research within the organization.
  • Work closely with the product team to align research activities with user goals, needs, and mental models, ensuring our solutions exceed user expectations.
  • Developing comprehensive customer journey maps that illustrate the end-to-end experience of our users, from initial awareness to post-purchase support. By mapping out each touchpoint and interaction, we gain valuable insights into the user experience and identify areas for improvement.
  • Synthesize research findings into clear, actionable insights, presenting them in an easily understandable format to facilitate informed decision-making across teams.
  • Coordinate and facilitate cross-departmental workshops, fostering a collaborative approach to product development and innovation with stakeholders from various departments, including product management, design, sales, and marketing.

Practical Pointers:

  • A bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Cognitive Science, or a related field will be considered an advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in UX research or a related field.
  • Expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
