HANGOVER BOY - SWEDEN
Hangover Boy is a 30 something guy called Martin Gustafsson from Stockholm in Sweden.
At the age of 12 he started creating music with computers and is now producing hard banging techno under the alias Micro Groover and groovy, funky house under the alias Hangover Boy. The early influences he gained from computer games music, the computer demo scene music and the late 90’s electronic music scene in Stockholm are still influencing his music productions in a very special way. He has an almost perverse addiction to good basslines and short repetitive melodies which he never has got rid of, something which leaks through in both his music and the music he plays as a DJ.
After playing both commercial clubs and underground venues all over the world, running the successful club “Vardagsrummet” in Stockholm and having less time to be out and about when his son was born in 2009 he started a monthly show called “The Intoxication Show” on the pioneering online webcasting station Radio4by4 attracting listeners from all over the world.
Recent releases include remixes of Barka’s track “Bättre Ghetto än Pretto” for the netlabel ÅÄÖ Records, Sebastian Gudding’s track “Hamilton” on Save Me, Tintin’s track “Vintersolstånd” on his own label MGroover Recordings. Don’t miss the upcoming limited edition vinyl release on his own label MGroover Recordings with remixes from american Luke Fire and danish-swede DJ Wank.
This summer you can see him performing a techno live set under his alias Micro Groover at the Swedish underground festival “TIllbaka till Evigheten” and playing at the Latvian festival “Why Not” in Ogre, Riga
